我是吕伟胜，新国大中文EMBA30班的学生。非常荣幸作为优秀毕业生代表在此发言。一转眼两年过去，真的舍不得从新国大毕业。人说读万卷书不如行万里路，行万里路不如阅人无数，阅人无数不如高人指路，高人指路不如自己去悟，在新国大，我们都做到了。

就读于新国大的EMBA，除了享受着亚洲第一的荣誉，还享受着严谨严格的学风、汗牛充栋的教材、压力巨大的考试和没完没了的作业。我曾经在对外经贸大学、长江商学院、宾夕法尼亚大学沃顿商学院就读过MBA或者EMBA课程，但从没像在新国大一样紧张。虽然在这里，每一个半月才上八天课，但基本上开课前半个月就开始焦虑，因为有无数多的课前教材要阅读；上完课半个月才结束焦虑，因为要写很多课后作业。这么一看，我基本上焦虑了一个半月。

读万卷书不仅意味着读书很多，也意味着同学们有一万种卷法（内卷的方法）。有的同学能在上课时候一边处理工作一边记下逐字稿级别的笔记，甚至连老师PPT上的配图都有，下课时候已经直接发到班级群里；有的同学请经济学家级别的大神来串讲金融知识，帮助大家在开课前做好充分的预习；有的同学在英美游学期间仍然坚持每天晨跑十公里然后精神抖擞地去上课，而我那时候仍然在痛苦地倒时差；有的同学为大家改善伙食，本来就已经吃得很不错了，又每顿补充肉夹馍、螺蛳粉等各种美食，让我们成功做到每逢上课胖三斤。

不去观世界，哪来世界观。疫情过后，同学们终于迎来了期盼已久的海外游学。不游不知道，一游吓一跳——新国大给安排的游学项目也太好了！不仅安排的都是剑桥、斯坦福这样的顶级学府，而且给同学们配备的教授和参访的公司也是顶级中的顶级，让我们认识到人还能优秀成这样！

在剑桥，同学们看到了过去，感受到了千年学府的庄严肃穆、严谨专业，而在斯坦福和硅谷，我们看到了未来，感受了全世界顶尖创新中心的开放包容、欣欣向荣。在游学过程中，同学们学到无数金句：例如：In the past, the internet was an escape from the real world. Today, the real world is an escape from the internet.

以前我也去过剑桥、斯坦福几次，但都是以游客身份参观游览、匆匆而过，从未能有机会静下心来用心体验，而这次能学习、吃住都在校园里，认真做一次顶级学府的学生，那种感觉真是太棒了！也许多年以后，我们已经不记得教授讲了什么内容，但这种在世界最顶尖大学里学习和生活的体验，一定终身难忘。据说毕业之后就没有机会参加游学了，我真有点后悔这么准时毕业！

读书不仅意味着获取知识，还在重塑我们的社交网络。其实在来上学之前，对同学圈子没有什么期望值，但是后来发现真的是超越期待，感觉同学和校友们真是藏龙卧虎。这样一群藏龙卧虎的人，在来读书之前，都已经是各行各业的成功人士，都有高质量的圈子，都有自己忙碌的事情，可还是能花这么多时间在这群新认识的朋友身上，足见彼此之间能带来很多的收获。就这一个班50多个同学，各种微信群起码得有几百个。

同学们相约旅行、徒步、健身、唱歌、吃饭、参访，一起学习之余，也一起开心、一起进步、一起健身、一起增长见识。不管是臭味相投还是惺惺相惜，新国大的圈子确实是好。为了带动大家一起进步，同学们还自发组织了很多学习群，有的带着大家到优秀的企业或去印尼、日本等国家参访，有的带动大家一起踢球、一起减肥健身。除了同学们自身，我们的孩子们和家属们也都成了好朋友。

而我自己，有幸能带着一群同学学英语。在过去的半年里，我带动了70多人次，共四个学期的英语学习，参加的同学百分之百表示自己的口语和发音有提高，75%表示自己的听力有提高，89%的同学相信自己按照这种模式学习下去，能在一年内学好英语，可以满足在英语国家工作、生活和听课的需求。作为一名曾经的英语老师，我很高兴能用这种结合我的专业特长的方式融入新加坡社会。

新国大的教授们都非常优秀。傅强教授学贯中西、崇德力行，是同学们的精神领袖，听说就因为上了傅老师的宏观经济学课，有的同学成功在美国加息前抛售了股票，避免了重大损失。

乌耀中教授幽默风趣、点石成金，不仅课上带给同学们极大和震撼，课下还带着同学们一起跑步健身。

吕晓慧教授智慧美丽，毕业于北大和沃顿，自身那样闪耀而又谦和低调，只身勇闯非洲成为一带一路的践行者，是每一位同学的榜样。

每一位教授都有自己的特色，都值得同学们敬佩。认识了这些教授，就有了指路明灯，我们生活中、工作中有什么问题，都能找到各个领域的专家去请教，避免了自己闭门造车、误入歧途。

除了教授们，校友中也是高手辈出，因为新国大中文EMBA是全球唯一海外中文项目，所以想要读中文项目的海外华人没有别的选择。随着越来越多有识之士走出国门，新国大中文EMBA项目也越来越热门，但看样子新国大却并没有因为要赚钱而无限扩大招生名额，这也就意味着申请竞争只会越来越激烈，新国大录取的是新移民群体中最精英的一小部分，所以我们因为申请得早而被招进来是十分幸运的，如果是现在或者未来几年再来申请，我们还不一定能被录取呢。

同样有了读万卷书、行万里路、阅人无数、高人指路，为什么真正获得成功的依然是少数人呢？因为每个人吸收的情况不一样。这首先取决于你自己是否具有空杯心态。

来到新国大，我的体会就是要把过去的自己放下，不再执着于过去坚信的东西，而是具有开放包容、海纳百川的心态，才有可能获得最大的收获。因为你来到国外，见到形形色色的老师和校友，价值观会受到一定的冲击，如果你只抱着过去的信念，却不能打开心态，学习别人是怎么想的，听到别人的判断和你不一样，立刻就觉得对方不对，那么收获肯定不会太大。而如果我们能用开放的心态去了解别人的想法，从而丰富自己的价值观，则一定能获得更大的收获，甚至重塑自己的价值观。这就是为什么说高人指路不如自己去悟，因为如果没有开放包容的心态，就算高人指路，我也听不进去。

大海之所以博大，是因为它把自己放得最低，我不是大海，甚至不是小溪，只是一滴最平凡的水，但我希望汇入大江大河，奔腾咆哮地流向大海。拥有开放包容的心态和丰富多元的价值观是世界和平、避免战争的最好方法。从这个角度来说，没有什么比立足于东西文化完美并存的新加坡，而又能轻而易举地去到任何想去的地方更好。

能有机会读万卷书、行万里路、阅人无数、高人指路，我们必须要感谢我们的家人对我们无条件的支持，一边工作一边读书会让我们减少陪伴家人和照顾家庭的时间，没有家人的支持，我们不可能做到。我们还要感谢招生组的老师严格把控招生标准，才让我们拥有高质量的同学。我们还要感谢课程组的老师把每一处流程都衔接得那么顺畅，包括疫情期间各种严格而周到的措施、上课间隙的美食和咖啡、海外游学贴心的大巴接送等，众多细节构成了我们的完美体验。感谢学校的老师和每一位关心我们的人。

在斯坦福游学后，我在美国开启了一段自驾旅行。途中每次经过加油站，我都会感到踏实，车里有油，心中不慌。新国大是我们人生和事业旅途上最重要的加油站，我们开着自己人生和事业的小汽车，开进这座加油站，补充能量和勇气，然后驶向更远的远方。祝愿学校办得越来越好，祝愿老师和同学们的事业辉煌顺利，家人健康平安！

· Fellow Graduates;

· Ladies and Gentlemen;

I am Lu Weisheng, a student from NUS Chinese EMBA intake 30. I am proud and humbled to represent the outstanding graduands. Time flies, and I can hardly believe that it's already time to graduate from NUS. I am honored to be an EMBA student at Asia’s number one university. I have studied at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and the Wharton School, but I have never experienced the level of rigor I found at NUS. I would start getting jitters from half a month before the start of each session until half a month after the classes due to the workload of pre- and post-course assignments. My classmates can take detailed notes verbatim while managing their work during class and share the notes immediately after the session. Some students invite renowned economists to deliver lectures on finance before the course begins, providing thorough preparation. Some students improve our already good enough dining experience by bringing additional delicacies like meat buns and snail noodles, causing each of us to gain three pounds at the end of each session.

If you don’t see the world, how can you develop a worldview? NUS brought us to top universities like Cambridge and Stanford and provided us with professors and company visits at the pinnacle of their fields, allowing us to witness the highest level of excellence. At Cambridge, we glimpsed into the past. At Stanford, we saw the future. We may not remember the exact content of the lectures years later, but the experience of studying and living at the world’s top universities will be unforgettable for a lifetime.

Besides studying and travelling, I also love the people here. NUS not only gives us knowledge but also transforms our social network. I discovered a group of talented individuals who, despite having their own success, still dedicate so much time to the friendships they formed here. Some of us spontaneously organized study groups, visits to companies, and trips to Indonesia, Japan and Maldives. Some led the groups in playing soccer or pursuing weight loss. I am fortunate to be able to teach English to more than 70 fellow students for four sessions. 100% of the participants have reported an improvement in their spoken English. I am delighted to integrate into Singaporean society in this way.

We have also received invaluable guidance from our mentors. The professors at NUS are exceptionally outstanding. Professor Fu Qiang has a comprehensive understanding of the Eastern and Western worlds. Some students successfully sold their stocks before the interest rate hike in the US because they took Professor Fu’s macroeconomics class. Professor Wu Yaozhong not only brings immense inspiration and impact to students in class but also engages in running and fitness activities with them outside of class. Professor Lv Xiaohui is a practitioner of the Belt and Road Initiative and a role model for every student. Each professor has their unique qualities and deserves students' admiration. Whenever we encounter issues in our lives or work, we can seek advice from them in various fields.

At this moment of celebration, we must express our gratitude to our families for their unconditional support. Working and studying might reduce the our family time, so it would be impossible without their support. We also want to thank the admissions team for strictly maintaining admission standards, which resulted in a high-quality circle of students. We are also grateful to the programme management team for seamlessly connecting every aspect of the curriculum and logistics.

After the study tour at Stanford, I embarked on a road trip in the United States. Every time I drove into a gas station along the way, I felt relieved and recharged. The car had fuel, and my heart was at ease. NUS is like the most important gas station on our journey of life. We drive our own cars, enter this gas station, take in energy and courage, and then continue towards even greater goals. After graduation, some classmates may be promoted or change their careers, others may start new new businesses or expand their companies to the whole world. Whatever path each of you choose, I wish you all the best in utilizing what you have learned here. May the university thrive, may the teachers and students achieve greater success in their endeavors, and may our families enjoy good health and peace!
